【PRODUCT DESCRIPTION】
These are Gurank's camo cargo shorts.
Based on the Gurkha shorts adopted by the British Army in the 1980s, these shorts use soft cotton twill with a modern suppleness.
They combine the soft, familiar feel of vintage clothing with the rugged silhouette characteristic of military wear. Their most distinctive feature is the original camouflage pattern created by hand-printing.**
Hand-printing is a traditional Japanese printing technique where craftsmen align a different stencil for each color and manually apply ink to the fabric. Unlike digital printing by machine, the overlapping inks and subtle pressure variations create a deep depth of color and soft unevenness. Furthermore, by combining special inks and processing, we have achieved a unique faded color that looks like it has been used for many years.
In addition, we use custom-made iron tack buttons. These buttons are designed to rust gradually where the paint peels or scratches, allowing them to age along with the fabric, transforming into a personal, tool-like garment unique to the wearer.
The waist is made large, so we recommend wearing them adjusted with a belt.

(Gurank / グランク)
Gurank is a coined word combining terms from the core of manufacturing: Functional beauty (K.), Folk tools (G.)/Everyday items, Customs (N.A.)/Accumulated and established things, Grace (R.)/Beauty, and Charm (U.)/Allure. Without specifying country or era, it proposes something slightly new based on the designer's experiences.
