[I AM DORK] "EXCLUSIVE" HIDDEN BUTTON SHIRTS - 1st Anniversary -

It's been a while since my last blog post.

Morioka has gotten quite warm, but there's no sign of summer yet. The weather has been so unpredictable lately, I feel like it could suddenly turn summery at any moment.

Just in time for this season, a special order from DOKE has arrived. For our 1st anniversary, they've used some very special fabrics.

"EXCLUSIVE" HIDDEN BUTTON SHIRTS-1st anniversary-

・"COTTON LINEN CHAMBRAY" (DEADSTOCK FABRIC)
"COTTON HERRINGBONE" (DEADSTOCK FABRIC)
Size : 1 / 2

The style is our hidden button shirt, which we stock every season.
From the name, you might expect a dressy fly-front shirt, but the placket is the same as a regular shirt. So, it has the appearance of a regular collar shirt. However, there's a hidden button under the collar that can be used to secure it with a loop.
This securing is important because it allows you to wear the shirt casually with the second and third buttons open. Try pairing it with a thermal or tank top depending on the temperature.

Another feature of the hidden button is that it can be worn as an inner layer under a jacket, and it's also easy to wear over a knit.

・"COTTON LINEN CHAMBRAY" (DEADSTOCK FABRIC)

First up is the cotton linen chambray. This is deadstock fabric made in Japan. To celebrate our first anniversary, this is the first time this fabric has ever been used by ANSNAM / I AM DORK, across their entire archive.

The dry, refreshing feel unique to linen and the comfortable texture of cotton are perfectly balanced. It has the slightly mottled appearance unique to chambray, and a deep, vintage-like texture that you don't find in current fabrics, only in deadstock.

It might appear a bit thicker in person than in the photos. Despite its thickness, it's soft and textured. With repeated wear and washing, it will become even softer and more comfortable against the skin.

"COTTON HERRINGBONE" (DEADSTOCK FABRIC)

This is an Italian fabric, personally sourced by designer Nakano in Italy. It's truly excellent.

It's a slightly thinner herringbone fabric.

While herringbone often evokes a strong workwear or military image, this fabric has an astonishingly elegant appearance.Despite being 100% cotton, it has a subtle, silk-like sheen, making it suitable not just for casual wear but also as an inner layer for jackets.

The herringbone weave is incredibly fine, and the visible pattern that emerges with changes in light is captivating.

Both fabrics are washable, chosen so you can wear them without too much fuss in your daily life.
We're very happy that both have been well-received and are now limited in stock. Please grab yours while sizes are still available.

We look forward to seeing you.
