DIMISSIANOS & MILLER 26SS

DIMISSIANOS & MILLER 26SS

We're excited to announce that we're now carrying DIMISSIANOS & MILLER this season.

First, a brief introduction to the brand.

A shoe brand founded in 1948 on the island of Corfu, Greece.
Dimissianos inherited the business from his father, who primarily made traditional shoes for presidential guards called Tsarouhi.
While adhering to tradition, many of their unique creations blend modern elements, incorporating intelligence and playfulness into their simple designs.
Currently run by the second generation, all processes are handcrafted by Dimissianos himself and a few artisans, maintaining production within a manageable scope.
Each pair, crafted by skilled artisans, is truly robust and dependable.
With a shared understanding of "wanting customers to wear them for a long time," each pair is meticulously and carefully made. Despite being small-scale, they continue to create high-quality products that will last for generations.

Contrary to their modern, cool artisan appearance, this is an established leather shoe brand founded in 1948.
Their sandals, crafted by skilled artisans using undoubtedly high-quality leather, attract many.

The defining feature common to DIMISSIANOS & MILLER sandals lies in their three-dimensional upper that cradles the foot and their strikingly powerful sole.

Their beautiful, rigid presence might not offer the "initial cushioning" or "light and easy walking" of sneakers. Perhaps it's easier to imagine them like raw denim.

As you wear them, the high-quality leather slowly molds to the shape of your feet, transforming into a uniquely comfortable pair that only you can appreciate.

These aren't just "easy-to-walk-in shoes"; they are sandals meant to be worn over a long time, allowing you to savor the rich aging of the leather as you walk together.

For our first season, we've exclusively chosen Italian black full-grain leather.
Full-grain leather is considered the highest quality leather, retaining the natural marks and grain on its surface.

The sole is made of durable cow leather. This sole may feel a bit stiff at first, but we encourage you to experience how it gradually conforms to your feet.

There are two styles. For our first season, we chose classic, staple styles and leather.

"MULE" / 77,000yen(tax in)
Size : 40,41,42

The "MULE," with its clean design, is an iconic model for the brand.

A notable feature is the very large area of leather used, as it deeply covers the entire instep. You can directly experience its aging. The wrinkles that form as you wear it, and the increasing luster as it conforms to your foot shape.

This clean design also translates into wearing comfort. The wide upper gently and securely wraps around the instep, providing a hold that prevents the heel from lifting, a common issue with sandals.

Easy to slip on, yet with a substantial, artisan presence. It pairs with any trousers, but I'd prefer to wear them with wide-leg pants rather than shorts.

"OMIKRON" / 59,400yen(tax in)
Size : 40,41,42

The Omikron, based on a thong sandal, is also a classic model. Compared to the Mule, more of the foot is exposed, creating a perfect balance between a relaxed feel and a substantial presence.

The foot is securely held at two points: the big toe and the deep band covering the instep. When you put your foot in, it "swoops" in smoothly, providing an exceptional sense of stability that is unusual for a sandal.

You might feel the stiffness of the leather at first with this one too, but coupled with the toe hold, as it breaks in, it will conform to your foot's movements, making it even more comfortable to walk in.

Since this is a classic style, it might be easier to match than the more artisan-leaning options. For those who don't own this style of sandal or don't usually wear sandals, this one is highly recommended. It's versatile and works well with denim, slacks, or shorts.

Please feel free to contact us if you have any questions about sizing.

While it's not too hot yet, sandals tend to sell out when you finally want to wear them.

Be sure to get yours early.
