【PRODUCT DESCRIPTION】
This is a linen chambray knit shirt from Meias.
We've recreated the "convenient pocket" (commonly known as a "gacha pocket") found on work shirts from the 1930s using knit fabric.
The asymmetrical chest pockets faithfully reproduce the practical design of the time. The cuffs are also made to match the original, featuring a "storm cuff" design without a placket.
The material employs a "plating" technique, where linen-blend yarn is layered on the front and ultra-fine cotton on the back. By slightly changing the color on the front and back, the color of the back subtly shows through to the front, creating a texture with depth that resembles the intersecting warp and weft threads of a woven fabric, even though it is a knit.
