(BIG ROCK CANDY MOUNTAINEERING)
The designers are Samuel, a founding member of ROWING BLAZERS, and Peter, known as the designer of WYTHE. With their proven track record in vintage research and design, they drew inspiration from the early American alpinists, mountaineers, and pioneering innovators of gear who shaped outdoor style from the 1950s to the 1970s.
While respecting past designs, the collection incorporates playful "twists" throughout, resulting in a high-quality yet nostalgic vintage feel.
The brand name is derived from "The Big Rock Candy Mountain," a folk song released by Harry McClintock in 1927. It proposes new outdoor wear where the adventurous spirit of old America intersects with modern design sensibility.
