【PRODUCT DESCRIPTION】
This is a Mexican clay doll made in the 1970s. The creator of this clay doll, Teodora Blanco (1928-1980), was an artist active in Oaxaca, Mexico.
She developed her own unique style, making use of earthy colors, which was innovative at the time.
Her works, in which humans and animals coexist, all look healthy, beautiful, and very heartwarming.
His work has been highly acclaimed as an art piece in the United States and other countries since then, and he is also famous as the only craftsman to have appeared on the cover of LIFE magazine.
Her work is also featured in Kojiro Kawamura's book "Folk Crafts of the World," where its beauty is praised.
