These plates are from Reduction Factory. While the edgy shapes are created using classic techniques, this lineup of tableware is created by incorporating abstract expressions and decorative glazes. The details retain the natural look of the clay, and due to the nature of ceramic products, there may be slight individual differences in size, texture, color, etc. Please note in advance. This is a ceramics brand from Tohoku that was launched in Hasami Town, Nagasaki Prefecture in 2016 by ceramic designer Kuntaro Abe and moved its base to Iwate Prefecture in 2024.
This is a self-made brand that was started with the idea that by directly experiencing material selection, techniques, mixing, firing, etc., I would be able to further deepen my knowledge as a ceramic designer.
Based on the idea of "100 things that will enrich the lives of 100 people," the brand strives to make its products as affordable and easy to purchase as possible, and while they are reproducible products, they are decorated in a way that allows individual variations so that buyers can choose from them.
