This is the Arctic Parka from Big Rock Candy Mountaineering.
This down jacket is based on the rugged, cold-weather parkas developed by the pioneers who blazed the trail for the American outdoor scene in the mid-20th century.
The durable nylon shell features a vibrant color that stands out beautifully against winter landscapes. Inside, it is generously filled with high-quality duck down, ensuring reliable warmth even in the harshest cold.
The front features a double-layered design with a zipper covered by a buttoned storm placket to effectively block out blowing cold air and snow. Additionally, drawcords at the hood, waist, and hem allow you to cinch the jacket tight, locking in body heat and preventing wind penetration for thorough winter protection.
Storage is also well-considered; the large front pockets can be accessed from both the top and the sides, making them useful not only for carrying gear but also as hand warmers for cold fingers.

The brand is helmed by two designers: Samuel, a founding member of ROWING BLAZERS, and Peter, known as the designer of WYTHE. With their proven track record in vintage research and design, they draw inspiration from the early American alpinists, mountaineers, and innovators of groundbreaking gear who built the outdoor style of the 1950s through the 1970s.
While paying homage to designs of the past, the collection incorporates playful "twists" throughout, resulting in high-quality garments that carry a nostalgic, vintage-like feel.
The brand name is derived from "The Big Rock Candy Mountain," a folk song released by Harry McClintock in 1927. The label offers a new take on outdoor wear where the spirit of good old American adventure intersects with a modern design sensibility.
