The designers are Samuel, a co-founder of ROWING BLAZERS, and Peter, known as the designer for WYTHE. With a proven track record in vintage research and design, they drew inspiration from the pioneering American alpinists and mountaineers of the 1950s to 1970s, as well as the innovative gear that shaped outdoor style during that era.
While paying homage to past designs, the collection incorporates playful "twists" throughout, resulting in high-quality garments that exude a nostalgic, vintage feel.
The brand name is derived from Harry McClintock's folk song "The Big Rock Candy Mountain," released in 1927. It proposes new outdoor wear where the adventurous spirit of old America intersects with a modern design sensibility.
