【PRODUCT DESCRIPTION】
This is a blues-centric Janis Joplin cap.
Janis Joplin, the legendary diva who epitomized female rock singers of the 1970s, was born in Port Arthur, Texas on January 19, 1943. Although she had a comfortable childhood in a middle-class family, she tended to feel isolated at school, and at an early age she discovered drugs and alcohol, becoming obsessed with music that was different from that of her classmates, such as Bessie Smith and Odetta.

He formed a duo with Jorma Kaukonen, who would later form Jefferson Airplane, and performed at the Monterey Pop Festival.

As a backup singer for Big Brother & The Holding Company, she released her first album, "Big Brother and The Holding Company featuring Janis Joplin," on the Monument label. Her stunning performance at the Monterey Pop Festival in 1967 earned her her first major label contract with Columbia Records.

Janis formed a new band, the Full Tilt Boogie Band, and recording progressed smoothly. When three-quarters of the album was completed, Janis suddenly passed away. She was 27 years old and had been addicted to heroin.
