The store has begun carrying norda, a footwear brand founded in Montreal, Canada in 2020 by the team of ultra-trail runners Nick Martire and Willamina Martire, designer Louis-Martin Tremblay, and product development manager Gerard Cleal.

These are highly functional, authentic shoes, but they are also in high demand as fashion items due to their excellent design.

Many trail running shoes are highly functional, but the design is strongly sporty, making them difficult to incorporate into fashion, or the design is so focused that the original functionality is compromised. I was searching for shoes with a good balance when I came across Norda.

The upper and shoelaces are made from Dyneema®, a bio-based material that is said to be the world's strongest and lightest fiber and has a low environmental impact.
It has excellent impact resistance and tear resistance, and is attracting attention as a tough material.
It is also water-resistant and lightweight, making it popular for outdoor and military use.
By using such fibers seamlessly, it is possible to use it in more severe environments.

Additionally, Dyneema® is hydrophobic so it does not absorb water.
*However, since the upper has a woven structure, it is not waterproof.

Even if it gets wet, it dries quickly, so a little rain or snow is no problem.

Because it is breathable, it is best to wear thick socks in the winter in Morioka, where it is cold. Therefore, we recommend buying half a size or more larger.

The sole is equipped with a Vibram sole.

What I want you to pay attention to here is that not only the outsole but also the midsole is made by Vibram. Many sneakers and trail running shoes use their own midsoles and have a Vibram outsole on top, but Norda's midsoles are also made by Vibram.

The midsole is a unique model developed in collaboration with Vibram®. It is the lightest and most resilient, while also boasting the highest level of cushioning and durability.

The outsole is Megagrip, which provides excellent grip on both dry and wet surfaces. It is extremely durable and can be worn without stress when going out for long periods of time, such as long-distance runs, trekking, and even when traveling abroad.

Norda is listed as MADE IN CHINA.
But it's not just made in China. The Dyneema® upper is made in the USA. The upper is manufactured in Europe and sent to China for the final assembly. China is where Norda has its top R&D center and assembles the shoes under optimal conditions.
